On 28th February we will celebrate the fifth World Day of Slow . This is an event promoted by the cultural 'The Art of Living with Slow' non-profit organization in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Marketing and territorial identity of the City. Aim of the conference is to reflect on the damage of economic, environmental, social and cultural life at breakneck speed. The theme of World Day of Slow 2011 will be 'ambitious and altruistic - Slow Life, Green Life, Better Life'.
presenting the initiative at the Palazzo Marino in Milan, the Department of Tourism, Marketing Planning and Identity, Alessandro Morelli, said: 'Living is a slow way to finding some time and our city. The event will be an opportunity to confront in a new and curious with the story, memory, identity, art and architecture of Milan: slowing down our pace and looking up to discover a new Milan, made up of hidden corners and treasures of art and architecture that often elude us, but bring with them intact the essence of our city '.
In New York, which will be the focus of this event, the World Day of Slow will be celebrated with a week of events. I hurried through the streets and will be fined a number of initiatives to life.
